The brief for this South London garden was to create a design which would screen off an invasive view from behind and hide an ugly factory wall that formed one of the boundaries of the garden. To this end high wooden screens were built and tall phyllostachys bamboos were planted thus allowing a private and secluded garden to be enjoyed not just in the summer months, but through the winter when the garden is illuminated to dramatic effect.
The 3 dimensional computer aided design was drawn up prior to the build to allow the clients to clearly visualize what the finished garden would look like.
