This very contemporary garden in North London dealt with a steep gradient with the use of a series of elevated timber decks. A sitting /dining area sits snugly into a corner from where cantilevered steps take you over a pool to the top deck, which is bordered by a Perspex screen. White rendered walls with an elevated timber fence add to the contemporary feel, as does the blue slate paving which has been used both in the house and in the garden to unite home and garden.
Planting has been kept to a minimum with a simple clipped box hedge reinforcing the geometry to the diagonal design, with a woodland at the back providing a green backdrop to the garden
